Great Place to Live
I have been in Berrytree for three years in two different units and have had a wonderful experience here! It is a great location ... that is close to campus, especially if you are in the med or vet school. The community is quiet and I never had issues studying or getting work done at home. The staff are very friendly and really care about you if you get to know them. Maintenance issues are rare, but repairs have always been fast. The units were clean when I moved in. The staff was very helpful and patient with my many move in questions! My apartment was beautiful and clean when I moved ... in. I loved the welcome present of chips and salsa. Wonderful landscaping/grounds. Would like more guest parking spots and a larger gym as I imagine both get crowded when school year begins but am very impressed with Berrytree so far and am glad I decided to live here! Berrytree is a generally nice place to live. It is quiet, safe, and affordable; the rooms are nicely sized and apartment ... is in nice shape. I do have complaints about the complex. For example, I live with 2 other people in a 2 bedroom apartment; although we pay an extra $200 a month, we do not get an extra parking pass (thus I parked in guest parking). I know I had the option to talk to others in berrytree to get a pass, but I feel like if we are paying extra we should get some perks. Also, next year water and gas will be a flat rate, previously water was payed for by berrytree and gas was payed for as we used it. Very happy with my experience at Berrytree
My one bedroom at Berrytree was one of the best rental decisions I ever made. I could walk to the CHM campus every day, and ... there is also a bus stop very nearby. The staff at Berrytree are all excellent for the most part, and they are more willing to work with you than staff at other properties, which I really appreciated. Save for one noisy neighbor, my building was quiet and my co-residents very pleasant. Maintenance was always quick to respond, the shared facilities were usually clean and tidy, and they would often have special events with free food for residents. It's true that the rent is a little steep compared to other properties nearby, especially when you include utilities and the technology fee, but the management here will probably continue to make the price worth it - there is both a gym and a pool at Berrytree, as well as a printer, and the property is kept up very well. Overall I have very few complaints and I would definitely recommend living here if you are attending any of the Health Sciences schools! I would recommend living in Berrytree Apartments to anyone who wants to live in the area but not break the bank. The rent ... is around the mid to lower range of apartments in the area, and is very low when split multiple ways. The Gigabit Spartan-Net internet combined with DirecTv for under $70 a month cannot be beat anywhere else. The staff is always extremely friendly, and the community is a beautiful one. It's a little difficult to get to campus without waiting for the lone bus or walking from the commuter lot, but it is definitely manageable. A parking spot per bedroom isn't the best, but should do for most situations. Once again I would definitely recommend taking a look at Berrytree Apartments.
